    1. What is FantomPlay?
    2. FantomPlay is a PlayTech Category playground where fans of movies, music and sports can converge to have some FUN, get some FAME, and get an opportunity to make a FORTUNE while participating in contests while playing games which involve knowledge + memory + speed of response. It hosts real money contests for users. The contests are broadly of two kinds:

      1. Theme-based Multiple Choice Memory Challenge Contests like Premiere, Box Office, Fanzone and Action Replay on Movies and Sports
      2. A unique fantasy-based contest called Skill Pitch where Users will have to put their analysis of the match of the day to use by determining the ‘Scoreboard’ of the entire match across multiple variables pertaining to Runs, Wickets and Extras.
    3. Is FantomPlay the same as every Fantasy Sports Online Games?
    4. No. The app hosts only ONE fantasy-based offering among its multiple offerings that are predominantly memory challenge contests in the multiple-choice quiz format. FantomPlay has an industry first unique offering in the form of Skill Pitch where instead of forming teams, Users will have to develop their own version of the potential Scoreboard of the entire match that is purely numerical and not player based.

    7. How can I download FantomPlay App?
    8. You can download the FantomPlay App from Google Play Store (For Android Devices) and Apple Store (for iOS Devices). Alternatively, you can visit our website www.fantomplay.com to download the App.

    9. How can I Sign Up in FantomPlay?
    10. We have made the registration and sign-up process very intuitive. All that you need to sign-up is to input your mobile number to receive an OTP. Key in the OTP and you become a part of the FantomPlay family. You will then need to go through a User Verification process that is mandatory as part of regulatory requirements. For that you will need to upload your Aadhaar / Driving License / Voter ID. It will only take a few minutes for this verification. Once done you will be able to play all of the contests on FantomPlay.

    11. How can I play on FantomPlay?

    13. Is FantomPlay available across India?
    14. Fantom Play is available for people across India except for a few Indian States. People residing in or logged in from the State of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are restricted from playing cash games or performing cash transactions, in accordance with the respective State Laws.

    15. Is FantomPlay available in other countries?
    16. Contests on FantomPlay will be available to play only in India.

    17. Is there an age restriction to play on FantomPlay?
    18. You need to be above 18 years of age as confirmed by the verification documents uploaded by you to be able to create an account on FantomPlay and participate in contests. Users under the age of 18 will not be able to create an account and participate in any contests on FantomPlay.

    1. Which documents can I submit for KYC?
    2. Currently, we accept only Aadhaar Card / Driver’s License / Voter ID for KYC Verification.

    3. What are the benefits of KYC Verification?
    4. When your account is KYC Verified, you can participate in various contests and also enjoy hassle free withdrawals.

    5. How can I upload documents for KYC Verification?
    6. Refer “How can I sign up?” section in the ‘About FantomPlay’ section of FAQs.

    7. Will I get any notification if my KYC is Approved or Rejected?
    8. Yes. You will receive notification via email and text message whenever we update your KYC Status. Kindly ensure that your mobile number and email address are verified to receive the notification.

    9. Are there any States which FantomPlay restricts for KYC Verification and participation in cash-based contests?
    10. People residing in or logged in from the State of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are restricted from playing cash games or performing cash transactions, in accordance with the respective State Laws.

    11. Can I have KYC done using my company documents?
    12. No. You can only create an account for yourself as an Individual and not under a company name. Your KYC would also be specific to you as an individual and not as a company.

    13. Is KYC verification mandatory to make a deposit in FantomPlay account?
    14. Yes. KYC Verification is mandatory to make cash deposit/s and participate in cash contests on FantomPlay.

    15. Why is my KYC Verification rejected?
    16. The most common scenarios for KYC Verification being rejected are listed below.

      Below-18: In order to play cash games, you have to be minimum 18 years of age. If your age is below 18 years on the uploaded document, it will be rejected during verification.

      Name Mismatch: In the scenario where your first name and last name on your FantomPlay account does not match with the uploaded document, it will be rejected during verification.

      Password Protected Document: In the scenario where the uploaded document is password protected, it will be rejected during verification. You need to upload a document which can be accessed.

      Unclear Documents: In the scenario where the name, date of birth, address and photograph are unclear in the uploaded document, it will be rejected during verification.

      Invalid Identity Proof: In the scenario where the uploaded documents are different from the documents listed below, they will be rejected during verification.

      Incomplete Details: In the scenario where your personal details such as Name, Address, Date of Birth, Gender have not been updated before uploading documents, the verification will be rejected.

      Invalid File Format: In the scenario where the uploaded documents are in non-readable formats, it will be rejected during verification. The documents to be uploaded should be in PDF or JPG format only.

    17. Which documents are required for KYC to be able to place a cash withdrawal request for winning amount?
    18. To be able to place a cash withdrawal request, your account must be fully KYC verified as mandated by RBI's Rules and Regulations. Full KYC Verification that enables you to make withdrawals of your winnings can be done by uploading your PAN card and Bank Account details. Once verified, you will be able withdraw your winnings from the FantomPlay account. Do not worry, your details will be in an encrypted form in our database.

    19. Is PAN Card and Bank Account verification mandatory while creating and account?
    20. No. It is not mandatory while creating an account but you will not be able to withdraw money won in contest/s until PAN Card verification and Bank Account verification is complete.

    21. Why is my PAN Card Verification being rejected?
    22. Your PAN Card verification may be getting rejected for the following reasons

      Name Mismatch: In the scenario where your first name and last name on your FantomPlay account does not match with the uploaded PAN Card document, it will be rejected during verification.

      Date of Birth Mismatch: In the scenario where the date of birth entered in FantomPlay account does not match with the date of birth on the uploaded PAN Card document, it will be rejected during verification.

      Company PAN Card: In the scenario where the uploaded PAN Card document is a company PAN Card, it will be rejected during verification.

      **Kindly Note:** You can only create an account for yourself as an Individual and not under a company name. Your KYC would also be specific to you as an individual and not as a company.

      Password Protected Document: In the scenario where the uploaded document is password protected, it will be rejected during verification. You need to upload a document which can be accessed.

      Unclear Documents: In the scenario where the photograph and other details are unclear in the uploaded document, it will be rejected during verification.

    23. I have my Aadhaar Card but I am not 18 years old. Can I still participate in cash-based contests on FantomPlay?
    24. No. Your request for account creation to participate in cash-based contests will be rejected if you are below 18 years of age.

  3. MY ACCOUNT / PROFILE
    1. Can I have multiple accounts on FantomPlay?
    2. No. A User can create only one account under their name by providing valid supporting documents on FantomPlay. Creating multiple accounts is a violation of our Terms & Conditions and Fair Play Policy. Kindly avoid creating or using multiple accounts on a single device. This will be considered as a fraudulent activity and all accounts will be permanently deactivated without any prior notice.

    3. Do I have to create two different accounts for Entertainment and Sports Contests or can I switch between the two?
    4. You do not need to create a separate account. You can access and participate in Cinema and Cricket contests using the same account.

    5. How can I change my Username in my Account?
    6. Go to “Profile” section of the FantomPlay app. Select “Personal Info”. Under “Username” tab you will see the system generated Username. Click on “Edit”. Enter the Username of your choice. Save. Your new Username will be applicable. **Kindly Note: You can change your User Name only once.**

    7. How can I verify my phone number?
    8. Your phone number will be verified by sending you an OTP on the number you enter.

    9. How can I verify my email address?
    10. Go to “Profile” section of the FantomPlay app. Select “Personal Info”. Enter your Email in the “Email” tab. If you have already entered your Email id and wish to change it, then click on “Edit” in the “Email” tab and enter your new email id.

    11. How can I verify my PAN Card?
    12. Go to “Profile” section of the FantomPlay app. Select “Verify Account”. Click on “PAN Card” tab. Upload your PAN Card and fill in the necessary details. Click on “Save”. On verification, your account will show PAN Card Verified. This process doesn’t take more than a couple of minutes and we recommend you complete it before you begin playing on the app.

    13. How can I verify my Bank Account?
    14. Go to “Profile” section of the FantomPlay app. Select “Verify Account”. Click on “Bank Account” tab. Upload your Bank Account details in the relevant sections. Click on “Save”. On verification, your account will show Bank Account Verified. This process doesn’t take more than a couple of minutes and we recommend you complete it before you begin playing on the app.

    15. Why is my Bank Account Verification being rejected?
    16. Your Bank Account verification can get rejected for any of these reasons:

      • Name mismatch
      • Bank Account Number mismatch
      • IFSC Code mismatch
      • Bank account location in a geographical area where Gaming Apps are banned as per prevalent State laws. For details on which States have banned Gaming Apps, refer Section G under About FantomPlay section of FAQs.
    17. Can I change my email id in my account?
    18. Yes. You can change your email id by visiting the Edit Profile Section of FantomPlay. The new email Id you enter would be changed after OTP Verification.

    19. Can I change my Registered Mobile Number in my account?
    20. You will not be able to change your mobile number after verification. If you would like to change your mobile number after verification, kindly get in touch with us using our ‘Contact Us’ feature stating the reason for the change.

    21. Can I change my PAN Card after verifying it?
    22. No. Once you have verified your PAN card, you cannot change it.

    23. How can I access my transaction statements?
    24. Step by step procedure will be stated as per UI & UX of the App.

    25. Why Is my account blocked?
    26. In the scenario where user violates the Terms and Conditions mentioned below, we may choose to block the user’s account.

      1. Under Age: In order to play cash games, you have to be minimum 18 years of age. Users below the age of 18 years are prohibited from playing cash games on FantomPlay.
      2. Multiple Accounts: Creation of multiple accounts by any user is a violation of FantomPlay’s Terms & Conditions and Fair Play Policy.
      3. Any other activity which violates Fantomplay’s Terms & Conditions and Fair Play Policy.
  4. CASH DEPOSITS & AVAILABLE BALANCE
    1. Is it safe to add money in my FantomPlay account?
    2. Yes. FantomPlay adheres to strong safety and security features by tying up with recognized and reputed Payment Gateways. All RBI mandated rules and regulations like KYC Verification are followed. All personal details of Users are encrypted against any data leakage and privacy breach.

    3. How do I add money to my FantomPlay account/wallet?

    5. Am I able to make a deposit using Digital Wallets?

    7. Which mode of payments are available on FantomPlay for me to deposit money?
    8. FantomPlay accepts payments in the form of Credit Cards, Debit Cards, UPI, Net Banking and popular payment apps. Step by Step procedure will be stated as per UI & UX of the App.

    9. What is Available Balance, Deposit Amount, Winning Amount and Bonus Amount?
    10. In case you are a participant in cash-based contests on FantomPlay, your available balance is divided into 3 accounts – Deposit Amount, Winning Amount and Bonus Amount.

      Available Balance = Deposit Amount + Winning Amount + Bonus Amount.

      Deposit Amount: Deposit Amount is the sum total of all the amount you have deposited in your FantomPlay account but have not yet used it to participate in cash-based contests.

      Winning Amount: Winning Amount is the sum total of all the amount which you have won in contest/s.

      Bonus Amount: Bonus Amount is the amount FantomPlay credits to your Bonus Amount account through promotional activities such as Joining Bonus, Refer & Earn and other prevalent campaigns.

  5. BONUS AMOUNT
    1. What is Bonus Amount?
    2. Bonus Amount: Bonus Amount is the amount FantomPlay credits to your Bonus Amount account through promotional activities such as joining bonus, Refer & Earn or other prevalent campaigns.

    3. How can I earn Bonus Amount?
    4. This will be updated very soon.

    5. Can I use 100 % Bonus Amount to participate in contests?
    6. It depends on a case-by-case basis as specified in the details mentioned on individual Contest Cards. You could use up to a permitted percentage to participate in contests using Bonus Amount, if the offer is available for a particular contest. When such a contest is announced, you will be able to see the permitted percentage of Bonus Amount on the contest card.

    7. Does Bonus Amount have an expiry date?
    8. Yes. The validity of Bonus Amount will be specified. Please check validity and percent accepted by the contest of your choice before entering contests that accept Bonus Amount.

    9. Which Bonus Amount offers are running on FantomPlay currently?
    10. Please check the Bonus Amount offers section of the app

  6. GST
    1. What is GST, what are the new GST Rules and Directives and how is this GST calculated?
    2. GST (Goods and Service Tax) is an indirect tax levied on the supply of goods and services.

      28% GST will be applicable on every cash deposit on online gaming platforms as per the new GST rule passed by the Government of India effective from 1st October, 2023.

      Here the calculation would be based on GST inclusive amount. So, if you are making a deposit of Rs. 1000, it means Rs. 1000 is inclusive of the GST amount.

      Let us look at how GST is calculated. The following is the GST Calculation Formula.

      GST Amount = ((Deposit Amount) / (100 + 28)) * 28

      Let us assume you deposit Rs. 1000. Now let us calculate the GST @ 28 % using the above-mentioned formula.

      GST @ 28 % will be (1000 / (100 + 28)) * 28 = Rs. 218.75

      Deposit Amount = Original Deposit Value – GST.

      Rs. 1000 – Rs. 218.75 = Rs. 781.25 (Deposit Amount).

      Mentioned below is if GST needs to be credited back to User. As of now, there is no such provision of reversing GST to user. But it is documented anyway.

      But you need not worry. FantomPlay will credit the equivalent of deducted GST amount to your Deposit Amount. Have a look below to see how you receive the full deposit value.

      As you can see from the above example, you will receive a full value on the cash deposit that you make.

    3. Will I receive an invoice for GST paid and how can I access it?
    4. Yes. You will receive a GST invoice on email when you make a cash deposit in your account. You can also access the GST invoice in the application. Step by Step procedure will be stated as per UI & UX of the App.

    5. Will I have to pay GST for Free Contests as well as Paid Contests?
    6. No. GST is deducted only when you make a cash deposit. It does not depend on the type of contest you would like to participate in. If you are a player participating in free contests you don’t have to make a cash deposit, thus GST will not be applicable.

    7. Will GST be deducted on the Bonus Amount I receive?
    8. No. GST is deducted only when you make a cash deposit. GST is not applicable on the bonus amount which you receive.

    9. Will GST be deducted from the Contest Entry Fee or on the Winning Amount?
    10. Neither. GST is deducted only when you make a cash deposit. It has no impact on the contest entry fee or on the winning amount.

  7. WITHDRAWALS
    1. How can I withdraw my Winning Amount?
    2. Step by Step procedure will be stated as per UI & UX of the App.

    3. How long does it take for the winning amount to be credited to my Account?
    4. Once you have KYC Verified your PAN Number and Bank Account details, credit of your winning amount will be done basis the timelines of the receiving bank. Usually this process doesn’t take more than 48 hours without any cost to you. If you choose to do an immediate transfer, then applicable bank charges will be levied for the same.

    5. Is it necessary for me to re-verify my banking details while withdrawing my winning amount?
    6. Yes. To ensure that you get the best of our services, we prefer to reconfirm whether the banking details in your account are still the same before the transaction takes place.

    7. How can I check my Withdrawable balance?
    8. Step by Step procedure will be stated as per UI & UX of the App.

    9. What do I need to ensure before I submit a withdrawal request?
    10. To be able to place a withdrawal request you must ensure the following.

      • minimum of one successful deposit has happened in your FantomPlay account.
      • Your KYC must be fully complete.
      • The bank account you enter must be in your name and duly verified
      • In case you would like to use UPI, the correct UPI ID (VPA) must be added and duly verified.
    11. How can I update my Bank Account Details?

    13. Can I use another bank account or someone else’s bank account to withdraw money instead of the one registered during KYC?
    14. You can use another bank account to withdraw your money if the bank account is in your name. When you update your bank account, you will have to upload supporting documents for the same. Once verified, you will be able to place a withdrawal request. You cannot use someone else’s bank account to withdraw money. The bank account which you would like to withdraw the money into has to be in your name.

    15. What is the minimum and maximum amount I can withdraw and how many withdrawals can I make in a day?
    16. You will not be able to withdraw more than INR 10000/- (Indian Rupees Ten Thousand Only) on a daily basis. There has to be a 24-hour gap between two withdrawals.

    17. Where can I check my withdrawal transactions?

    19. How much will I win if other players rank is the same as mine? How is the prize money distributed in contest/s which has multiple winners?
    20. In such a scenario the winning amount is split equally between all the winners belonging to the same rank. Let us consider the following examples.

      If there are 2 winners tied equally on the 1st Rank, the cumulative prize amount for Rank 1 and Rank 2 will be equally distributed between both the winners of the same rank.

      Similarly, if there are 6 winners tied equally for the 3rd Rank, the cumulative prize amount for Rank 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 will be equally distributed between the 6 winners of the same Rank.

    21. Is there a tax on the Winning Amount?
    22. Yes. There will be a 30 % TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) on Net winnings applicable during withdrawal of the winning amount.

    23. Can I withdraw my Deposit Amount?
    24. You can only withdraw your Winning Amount. In the scenario where there is a balance in your deposit amount which you would like to withdraw, you can get in touch with us through our Contact Us feature and place a request. Withdrawing from your Deposit Amount tantamounts to your account being deactivated. Your Personal Info will be valid for a period of 90/180 days. However, when you choose to reactivate your account on the app you will need to go through the entire process of KYC verification once again. You will also need to deposit cash in your Deposit Account for you to be able to play on the app again. All your Personal Info will be deleted after the stipulated period of deactive status.

    25. Can I withdraw my Bonus Amount?
    26. No. You cannot withdraw Bonus Amount but you can use it to participate in cash-based contests. The percentage of Bonus Cash which you can use to participate in contests will be displayed when Individual Contests are announced.

  8. TDS
    1. What is TDS?
    2. TDS stands for Tax Deducted at Source.

      A 30 % TDS deduction will be applied to positive ‘Net Winning’ Amounts earned by users from contests on FantomPlay as per the new section 194 BA of the Income Tax Act, 1961, effective 1st April 2023. TDS will be applied at the time of withdrawal throughout the year or at the end of the financial year. (Financial year runs from 1st April to 31st March every year)

    3. How is TDS calculated?
    4. The following is the calculation for TDS.

      TDS = Net Winnings * 0.30.

      The calculations for the same is work in progress. We will have it documented soon

      1. TDS Calculation for withdrawals at the end of the financial year.
      2. TDS Calculation on the first withdrawal within the financial year.
      2A. TDS Calculation on subsequent withdrawals within the financial year.
      2B. TDS Calculation on no subsequent withdrawals within the financial year.
      3. TDS Calculation on no withdrawals at the end of the financial year.

    5. Where can I get my TDS Certificate from?
    6. Step by Step procedure will be stated as per UI & UX of the App. Also, to mention if TDS Certificate is being sent on email. In case not being sent on email, the User must be able to download the certificate from the App.

    7. Is TDS calculation different if I am a participant in Cash based contests for Cinema and Cricket?
    8. No. TDS is calculated on Net Winnings. It has nothing to do with the type of contests you are participating in.

    9. Is PAN mandatory for a TDS Certificate?
    10. Yes. PAN Verification is mandatory. Once you have verified it, TDS Certificate will be sent you on your verified email ID.

      Tentative TDS Certificate Quarterly timeframes to be defined. (When FantomPlay will be sending the Certificates to the User. For ex. Winning Month April to June – after 20th June etc).

    11. What happens if I don’t have a PAN?
    12. You will not be able to withdraw money if your PAN is not verified and linked to your account.

    13. I have done my address verification with my Aadhaar Card, the why is PAN required?
    14. PAN is required to issue a TDS Certificate which can be used for ITR filing. Also, you will not be able to withdraw money if your PAN is not verified and linked to your account.

    15. How do I know if TDS deducted from my winnings amount has been paid to the government?
    16. FantomPlay will issue a TDS Certificate to you by the end of every quarter. For tentative time frames when TDS Certificate will be sent to you on your verified email ID kindly click on this link.

  11. FantomPlay hosts contests under two main verticals of Entertainment & Sports. Under Entertainment it hosts:

    PREMIERE: A pool-based multiple choice memory challenge timed quiz contest based on the latest release of a movie that is conducted at a schedule time where all contestants participate simultaneously. Winners are decided on maximum correct answers given in the shortest amount of time. The timer records time to 1/1000th of a second.

    BOX OFFICE: Multiplayer multiple choice memory challenge timed quiz contest on popular movies over the years. These contests will be in a ‘live’ state whenever you log in and will commence only when the minimum quorum of contestants is filled. Winners are decided on maximum correct answers given in the shortest amount of time. The timer records time to 1/1000th of a second.

    FANZONE: Multiplayer multiple choice memory challenge timed quiz contest on popular movie personalities over the years. These contests will be in a ‘live’ state whenever you log in and will commence only when the minimum quorum of contestants is filled. Winners are decided on maximum correct answers given in the shortest amount of time. The timer records time to 1/1000th of a second.

    Under Sports it hosts:

    SKILL PITCH: Pool based contests that test the knowledge and analytical skills of users through the Scoreboards they make on the potential outcome of the match in the Runs, Wickets and Extras departments of every match. Users will have to make their scoreboards by choosing the attributes from among the variables available to choose from. Each attribute carries points and the actual happenings in the match will determine the points the user gets basis the attributes they have chosen. Winners will be decided basis the total number of points scored by the user’s scoreboard vis-à-vis the match’s actual scoreboard at the end of the match.

    ACTION REPLAY:: Pool-based as well as multiplayer memory challenge timed quiz contests that will test the players’ skill in remembering the details of the match of the day. These contests will be conducted during the match at fixed intervals and the questions asked will be on the action that has already happened in the match.

    FANZONE: Multiplayer multiple choice memory challenge timed quiz contest on popular sports personalities over the years. These contests will be in a ‘live’ state whenever you log in and will commence only when the minimum quorum of contestants is filled. Winners are decided on maximum correct answers given in the shortest amount of time. The timer records time to 1/1000th of a second.
